"Echoes of Greatness" is Alina Bzhezhinska’s personal tribute to jazz harp pioneers Dorothy Ashby and Alice Coltrane — two visionary women who transformed the harp’s role in modern music. After years of deeply studying their groundbreaking work, including collaborations with Joe Henderson, Pharoah Sanders and Stevie Wonder, and recording four albums shaped by their influence, Alina leads her award-winning ensemble HipHarpCollective joined by saxophonist Tony Kofi and a dynamic rhythm section.
The programme features iconic compositions such as Stevie Wonder’s “If It’s Magic,” Dorothy Ashby’s “Afro Harping” and Alice Coltrane’s “Journey in Satchidananda,” alongside original pieces reflecting their spiritual depth, rhythmic innovation, and profound impact.
